Happy Black Friday! I hope all of you had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving. I can say that for the first time in a LONG time, I did! My family acted like a bunch of normal, civil human beings and what should be a quiet holiday didn't turn into my grandfather and my aunt screaming at one another. It was quite nice. Leave me a comment and tell me how your Turkey Day went!

I've been getting a lot of reading done - I currently have 12 books out from the library and I'm speeding right through them! I love finishing a book and then updating my status on GoodReads.com. I hate to say that I'm addicted to the library... I go in there to get one book and come out with 6! It's insane.

I'm so glad that November is ENDING! This month has been nightmarish and the fact that there's only a week left is a blessing. In an update, my car still isn't fixed and my mother seems to be okay. My car isn't going to be fixed for a while, which adds about another hour to my commute. I'm in the middle of nowhere - if I still lived in Savin Hill, it wouldn't be a problem at ALL. But the fact that I'm in the middle of Milton doesn't help - and I'm not in the middle of GOOD Milton, I'm off of Blue Hill Ave which has nothing on it but houses. So I have to trek it down to Mattapan station, wait for the shuttle, pay for the shuttle, pay for the train, wait for the train, take the train ride, and walk to class. Sound fun? It's loads of fun... NOT!

On top of having to commute like this, it's FREEZING outside! And, with daylight savings, it feels like 8PM when it's only 4. Even though I'm a night person, I don't like that it's pitch black at 5. Nonsense!

I'm very glad that fall semester is coming to an end. I'm not enjoying my classes at all (except for Beatles) and just want things to be done with. However, Financial Aid keeps sending me bills, even though they should have all the money they need! I calculated everything and because some of my school loans hadn't gone through when it was time for me to take out my personal loan, I took out too much. Therefore, when all is said and done, I should have a $740 credit! However, I got a bill the other day saying that I owe them nearly $7,000. It's due by the fifteenth, but I shouldn't have to owe them anything! I have over $25,000 in aid including my personal loan. I have a feeling though that I'm not going to win this battle though, just like last semester...

Anywho, I made a layout change so you could comment now. I also added some recommended music and books and a song that I love for your listening enjoyment. If you don't like it, just press the pause button from where the song is playing :) Hopefully I'll fit in a few more blogs before the end of the month.
